I am thrilled to be accepted into the Global Health Research Study Abroad Program. Being selected for this highly competitive program is an incredible honor. In May 2023, I will embark on a fantastic journey to India, where I will have the opportunity to work directly with the Public Health Research Institution of India (PHRII). This once-in-a-lifetime experience allowed me to gain global awareness, help unrepresented communities, and gain extensive knowledge about global health. I will attend lectures and participate in various community-based initiatives throughout my stay in India. Working within the community will give me a unique perspective on unrepresented communities' global health challenges. It will be incredibly fulfilling to apply my knowledge and skills in a real-world context, making a difference in the lives of those I work with. Overall, this program will allow me to gain invaluable experience and knowledge about global health. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of such an enriching experience that will undoubtedly shape my future endeavors.
